Daniel Hess, CEO, Abraxas Insurance

Daniel Hess started his insurance career at the social security office in Zurich. In the last 35 years he held a number of positions in the insurance and reinsurance field both on the carrier side as well as on the broker side. He spent 5 years in the United States where he acquired his CPCU designation. Upon return in 1991 he was an account executive with Zurich Insurance in the international department and later opened the Swiss branch office o Reliance National Insurance Company (Europe). In the year 2000 he formed his own underwriting agency, Abraxas Insurance AG, where he underwrites a book of business on FI’s, E & O and D & O risks for a number of Lloyds syndicates and other insurance companies.
