Elliott is a Managing Counsel in the Financial, Professional & International division of Travelers Legal Services. He advises the International, Excess Casualty, Global Accounts, and Bond & Financial Products underwriting businesses on product development and modification, coverage analysis, and emerging issues with a focus on D&O and other management liability covers.
Elliott has presented at International D&O symposiums in Europe and the U.S., most recently including the 2008 & 2009 C5 Conferences in London & Cologne, the 2008 International Business Briefing in Minneapolis, the 2008 International PLUS Forum in San Francisco, and the 2008 National Summit on Insurance Risk Management for Financial Services in Washington, D.C.
Elliott was a partner in the Litigation and Insurance practice group at the international law firm of Oppenheimer, Wolff and Donnelly from 1996 – 2001. He was also an associate at the boutique insurance coverage and litigation firm of Nelsen, Thompson, Pegue and Thornton in Los Angeles from 1990 - 1996. Elliott received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California – Los Angeles School of Law in 1990 and his Bachelor’s in Economics & Math, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1987. In addition to earning a CPCU designation from the Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters, Elliott also obtained a Zertifikat Deutsch from the Göethe Institüt in 2000.
