Francis Kean, Partner, Barlow Lyde & Gilbert

Francis Kean is a partner in Barlow Lyde & Gilbert and heads up their D&O liability team.  He advises a wide range of Lloyd's syndicates, London market companies and captive insurance companies in connection with policy construction and coverage disputes.  He also handles a wide variety of claims against directors and officers including disqualification proceedings, wrongful trading actions and DTI and other regulatory investigations. 

He has considerable experience in drafting policies, dealing with coverage issues and advising the D&O insurance market and major corporates on insurance and indemnification issues.  Francis leads the editorial board preparing the sequel to Directors & Officers Liability Insurance Report by the Advanced Study Group for the Insurance Institute of London which is due to be published later in 2009.
