Ignacio specialises in professional indemnity, directors' and officers' matters. His practice includes drafting and adapting policies to Spanish law and advising Lloyd’ syndicates and Spanish and foreign insurance and reinsurance companies in connection with major and complex claims. Ignacio regularly defends underwriters’ interests in the courts.

Ignacio has extensive experience of domestic and international insurance litigation and arbitration and non-contentious insurance in the professional indemnity field. In particular, he has handled major cases involving auditors, insurance brokers, accountants and lawyers. Ignacio's experience also covers a wide range of reinsurance disputes.

Ignacio has also written several insurance-related articles and books (co-author of the books “Ley de Contrato de Seguro: Jurisprudencia comentada”. Editorial Thomson-Aranzadi y “Directors´ Liability and Indemnification”. Globe Law and Business).

Fluent in English and Catalan, he has written a number of insurance-related articles and has spoken at seminars and addressed conferences on the subject of directors and officers and professional indemnity insurance both in Spain and in the London market.
